Despite talking about their advantages, we’d here offer the practical suggestions in design from our designing and manufacturing experiences.

1.  Position

You will need to decide where you would like to place them on your products at first. It could be the front, neck, hem, seam, back of the clothing, inside backpacks, on the back of the jacket, or edge of the scarves!

In short, there are many different options. And pls notice the position have impacts on the size and design of the woven label.

2. Easy Logo looks.

You should never leave your logo as this is the clearest way to ensure your customers recognize your brand! However, you may not be able to place a lot of information on the labels at the same time, due to size restrictions. So select the simple logo would be your best option.

3. Color

To create good labels, we always recommend using contrasting colors e.g. black background with white text and logo, black on red, white on red, white on deep blue, or deep brown on orange. Two-tone templates deliver maximum impact, and the multi-colored threads are not needed.

4. Types of fold

The type of fold needs to be suitable for the position. Options include Flat labels, End fold labels, Centre fold labels, Book fold labels (hem tags), Miter fold labels.

5. Effect and temperament

If you want the woven label to have a natural, rustic, gold or glossy look, the biggest learning is in the choice of materials.

If you’re looking for a higher end finish, try satin woven labels.

When you need an all-gold base, or just weave a few metallic touches into your design, you will need a little bit of gilded embroidery.

Taffeta delivers a natural, lo-fi effect.
